Charts are the best way I know to understand your pigments and enter the study of color on sound footing.
While this may seem like a lot of work and a waste of time, my experience has shown it to be of great value. When swatching your colors you can see how they look when using them on different kinds of paper. At the same time you are learning about your medium, how it reacts how do you feel when you are using them. Finally having a color chart it will save you a lot of time when you start a new project because you have a color reference and you will know exactly which colors do you need for your project.
That is why I create color charts for my different mediums.
I started to upload the templates I create for my color charts in my Etsy shop. You can acquire it in PDF format and you can print the times you need on different papers.
I will be uploading for different sets from renowned brands like Caran d’Ache, Faber Castell, Derwent, etc. I will upload them little by little, so keep an eye on my website and my Etsy shop.
